President Bola Ahmed Tinubu offers condolences to Ladoja on the passing of his wife.

In a heartfelt message, President Bola Tinubu commiserated with former Oyo state governor Rashidi Ladoja on the passing of his wife, Tinuade.

The president extended his condolences to Ladoja’s family, associates of the late Tinuade, and the Celestial Church of Christ, where she was a devoted member of the Pastor-In-Council.

Tinuade Ladoja was renowned for her charitable works, wise counsel, and tireless advocacy for women’s and children’s welfare and education.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised her selfless lifestyle, noting her courageous service in the Celestial Church of Christ’s highest decision-making body and the Women in Council for many years.

Rashidi Ladoja, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, served as Governor of Oyo State from 2003 to 2006 and was briefly reinstated in 2006 after being impeached.

He was recently honoured as an Oba, receiving a ceremonial beaded crown from the reigning Olubadan and the government of Oyo State.

The President earnestly prayed for the repose of Tinuade’s soul and for God’s comforting presence to strengthen the Ladoja family during this difficult time.

“President Bola Tinubu commiserates with the former Governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, over the demise of his wife, Tinuade.

“The President extends his condolences to the former Governor’s family, associates of the spouse, and the Celestial Church of Christ, where she served as a member of the Pastor-In-Council.

“President Tinubu notes the contributions of the departed to humanity, affirming her strength in charitable works, wise counsel and advocacy for the welfare and education of women and children.

“The President praises Tinuade’s selfless lifestyle of living for the good of others and expanding the gospel, serving courageously in the highest decision-making body of the Celestial Church of Christ and the Women in Council for many years.

“The President earnestly prays for the repose of the departed matriarch’s soul and for God’s comforting arms to strengthen the family during this difficult time”, the statement said.
