The Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba, Gani Adams, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to consider restructuring the country and practice true federalism to tackle the challenges facing Nigeria. Adams stated this during the 10th World Congress of Oodua Progressive Congress(OPU) held in Osogbo capital of Osun State on Friday noted that he learnt a lot of things from Tinubu when he was the governor of Lagos State about true federalism. He said: “We have to remind President Tinubu about restructuring because we have to remind those in power what will move the country. He should remember when he was the governor of Lagos State. He is an apostle of federalism. When he was the governor of Lagos, we learnt a lot of things from him regarding true federalism. “The issues remain, Nigeria has not moved forward. We have used a lot of economic policies that do not work in Nigeria. We have used a lot of security strategies in Nigeria that have failed. We brought Okonjo-Iweala, but we couldn’t move forward. We brought a sound-minded Sanusi to run CBN, but he could not resolve the problem.” Post navigation Aiyedatiwa: I made the right choice in picking SSG, Deputy Gov Ondo 2024: Akeredolu picked me as successor, says ex-finance commissioner
