President Bola Tinubu has reinstated Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey as Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP), following a performance review. Prof. Zabbey’s reinstatement also indicates reversal of the appointment of Dr Olufemi Adekanmbi, which was announced on Saturday. According to a statement yesterday by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Prof, Zabbey is fit to continue discharging his functions in accordance with the regulations guiding the execution of HYPREP. The reinstatement takes immediate effect, according to the President’s directive. “President Tinubu has approved the reinstatement of Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey as Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP). “The president decided on a performance review of the HYPREP Project Coordinator and concluded that he is fit to discharge his functions per the regulations guiding the execution of the HYPREP. “By the president’s directive, Prof. Zabbey’s reinstatement takes immediate effect,” the statement said.
