President of Afenifere World Congress, Bayo Ogunmeno, has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu, “as he repositions the country.” Ogunmeno, in a statement yesterday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, said Tinubu meant well, but he needed to be given more time to carry out his agenda of turning the country around. Ogunmeno, coordinator of Ogun State 4 BAT Forum, said people should also scrutinise performances of the governors, instead of concentrating only on the Federal Government. He said: “I plead with Nigerians to give our President time. He knows what he is doing. He has the capability and capacity to turn around the country, but Rome was not built in a day. “… We should also assess performance of governors. “A few months ago, Tinubu gave N5 billion to the governors funds to buy and distribute rice and grains but some governors didn’t purchase or distribute them to their people. Governors have usurped functions of council chairmen.” Post navigation Lawmaker gives scholarships to students Sanwo-Olu canvasses home-grown solutions to African problems
