The lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Solomon Bonu, has given cash awards to indigent students in higher institutions. Students in the range of first class grade got N100,000, those in the range of second class upper went home with N50,000, while new students received N30,000 each. Speaking during the event tagged: ‘Bonu Sanwo Tinubu Education Support Initiative (B-ESI) Season 3 Scholarship Award Presentation Ceremony’ in Badagry, Lagos, the legislator said he was inspired by the development in Badagry. Bonu said the objective of the initiative was to support the educational project of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
